We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our corporate fundraising partner for 2023, Scottish Woodlands Ltd, has raised £2,930 for us at their annual dinner dance!!
This a great deal of money that will make SUCH a big difference to the work we’re able to carry out as a small charity. Funds like these are of vital importance in raising awareness of Lyme disease and supporting patients via our Online Community group.
Over 250 staff from offices across the UK attended the event and a brilliant night was had by all! Scottish Woodlands’ Managing Director, Ian Robinson, opened the evening with a wonderful welcome speech, and LDUK’s logo was included on the programme for the night.
We are really grateful to Scottish Woodlands for choosing us as their charity of the year, and also for acting as such a forward-thinking company when it comes to protecting their staff from tick bites. This is particularly important for any of their employees who work outdoors in forestry management roles.
Scottish Woodlands provided their members of staff with our leaflets before the start of the event, and have even developed their very own ‘Tick Recorder App’, which allows the company to see where and when staff are picking up ticks during their working day, and highlights high risk times, seasons, and locations.
Thank you so much to everyone who attended the event and donated funds to us through the company raffle!
