Dr Gupta qualified in 1995 from Charing Cross Hospital in London and relocated to Manchester where he completed a research fellowship in heart failure medicine under the mentorship of Professor Ludwig Neyses. He then completed his specialist training in Hull and in 2009 went to the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts to complete a fellowship in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance.
After being appointed as a consultant cardiologist at York Hospital in 2010, he has helped to develop cardiac imaging services including stress echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography and cardiac CT. His specialty interests include all aspects of non-invasive cardiology and imaging.
