NICE Lyme Disease Quality Standard – Committee Meeting and Consultation Update

NICE are currently in the process of developing a quality standard that will define areas for quality improvement for Lyme disease care on the NHS.  Each quality standard typically contains 5 quality statements with related measures.

The draft of the NICE Lyme disease quality standard is open for consultation from 12th February until 12th March. Expected publication date of the final standard is 10th July 2019.

Patients and GPs are able to submit comments on the draft quality standard. Please print this webpage and/or email this link to your GP and invite them to take part in this consultation process.

LDUK are registered as stakeholders to comment on the draft quality standard. We provided comments as part of the initial process that led to the draft being created. Our Press Manager, Julia Knight attended the first meeting on 6th December in Manchester of the NICE Quality Standards Advisory Committee (QSAC).  The Committee discussed prioritising areas of care or service provision for which quality statements and measures are to be developed.
