ILADS hosted its Annual Lyme Disease Conference in Washington DC, USA on 10-12th October.
Twitter was ablaze with live updates from the event which LDUK tuned into and according to @DrDanielCameron, the current president, ILADS’ membership has ‘more than doubled in past 3 years’ which is an exciting prospect for the Lyme community as more doctors are learning about tick-borne disease in more detail. Lymewhisperer.com provides a very thorough summary of the presentations at the conference which is available via the links below:
- − Day 1 – http://lymewhisperer.com/2014/10/09/ilads-sound-bites-1092014/
- − Day 2 – http://lymewhisperer.com/2014/10/10/ilads-sound-bites-101014/

We only wish some UK medical professionals could attend these annual conferences to listen to the expertise being shared by this dedicated group of doctors and scientists, especially as ILADS introduced some new guidelines a few months ago which are available here: http://www.ilads.org/lyme/treatment-guideline.php
